Role Overview

As the Head of Cyber Security, you will define and lead the enterprise-wide cyber security strategy that supports Gallagher's ongoing growth and digital transformation. Collaborating with executives, technology leaders, and the Board, you will help ensure protection across all systems while fostering a security-aware culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and oversee Gallagher’s comprehensive cyber security strategy, roadmap, and operational framework.
• Provide expert counsel to executive leaders and Board members on cyber risks and security priorities.
• Enhance the organisation's cyber resilience by advancing incident response, recovery, and risk management capabilities.
• Integrate security measures within enterprise architecture, software development, cloud infrastructure, and third-party relationships.
• Manage governance, compliance, and assurance activities related to security standards, audits, and regulations.
• Promote a culture of cyber awareness, accountability, and trust throughout the company.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cyber security team while fostering cross-business partnerships.
• Drive ongoing improvements by adopting advanced security practices and technologies aligned with business goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive leadership background in enterprise or information security and cyber risk management within complex environments.
• Proven capability advising senior executives and Boards on cyber strategy, risk governance, and organisational security.
• In-depth understanding of contemporary security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud security, identity and access management, data protection, secure architecture, and vendor risk management.
• Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, or similar credentials.
• Strong business acumen with the skill to harmonize security needs with commercial objectives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
