Role Overview

This senior leadership position drives the creation and growth of innovative, platform-native entertainment experiences on Roku. The role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team from ideation through launch and scale-up, blending storytelling, technology, and interactivity to captivate millions of users. Collaborations span content, product, engineering, design, marketing, partnerships, and advertising teams to transform bold concepts into sustainable consumer experiences. This role also contributes to sponsorship and monetization strategies and builds internal innovation studio capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development of interactive entertainment and content innovation across concept to market launch.
Define visionary new entertainment formats combining storytelling, technology, and engagement.
Establish a repeatable pipeline delivering multiple original experience launches annually.
Collaborate cross-functionally to bring fresh concepts to fruition.
Create culturally relevant experiences tied to major events like CES and Cannes.
Identify opportunities enhancing consumer engagement, brand affinity, and platform differentiation.
Shape sponsorship and monetization for premium advertising partnerships.
Build and expand Roku's internal innovation studio capabilities.
Guide teams through uncertain situations with clear decisions and a test-and-learn approach.
Balance experimentation with disciplined execution, measurable results, and scalable operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience creating original interactive entertainment for broad consumer bases.
Successful track record moving consumer-facing experiences from concept to execution.
Expertise at the crossroads of content, gaming, technology, and consumer products.
Strong creative instincts with sensitivity to culturally relevant ideas.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, often through influence rather than direct authority.
Experience initiating zero-to-one projects within large or fast-growing organizations.
Comfortable with platform entertainment, interactive media, gaming, transmedia, immersive or live experiences.
Balance innovation efforts with effective operational follow-up.
Excellent communication and inclusive leadership style.
Sound judgment, curiosity, and adaptability to shifting business and audience dynamics.

Compensation and Benefits

For California candidates, the estimated salary ranges between 280000 and 350000 annually plus equity.
