Job description

Position Overview

The Handyman role involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks throughout facility buildings and site infrastructure. This position supports renovation projects, routine upkeep, and corrective repairs while maintaining safety and productivity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out general repair and maintenance work.
  • Perform basic carpentry tasks such as repairs, installations, and adjustments.
  • Assist with renovation and construction activities.
  • Install and repair doors, locks, hardware, partitions, shelving, and fixtures.
  • Conduct painting, patching, drywall repairs, and finishing.
  • Undertake minor plumbing repairs and replace fixtures.
  • Help with flooring, ceiling tile, and millwork installations.
  • Operate hand and power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Inspect workplaces to identify hazards.
  • Keep work areas clean and well organized.
  • Participate actively in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required trainings.
  • Adhere to all site procedures, safe work practices, and Life Saving Rules.
  • Support emergency and non-routine maintenance activities as required.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this role is set at $37.62, with final pay determined by factors such as relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
