Role overview
This role is centered on leading digital and technology-led change across the fashion retail value chain, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, e-commerce, omnichannel capabilities, and customer experience platforms. It serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, making sure digital initiatives support commercial goals, can scale with growth, and suit the Indian retail context.
Key responsibilities
- Shape new digital capability ideas and convert business strategy into workable solution concepts.
- Evaluate how well technologies fit the business, validate feasibility, and plan for value delivery.
- Prepare business requirement documents, functional specifications, and solution blueprints.
- Run vendor evaluation and selection activities, including RFPs, product reviews, demos, proof-of-concepts, commercial discussions, and contract finalization.
- Review the existing technology environment and define the target architecture and digital roadmap.
- Improve and digitize processes across e-commerce operations, order fulfillment, stock visibility, returns handling, customer service, and store integration.
- Act as an internal advisor to business leaders on platforms, tools, and implementation best practices.
- Lead projects from planning through execution, risk control, and post-launch stabilization.
- Manage project budgets, reduce costs, track benefits, and oversee vendor financial governance.
- Work closely with e-commerce, marketing, retail operations, supply chain, IT infrastructure, and finance teams.
- Drive change management, user adoption, and training for all digital initiatives.
Required capabilities
- Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear BRDs and solution requirements.
- Ability to assess technology options, integrations, architecture choices, and scalability.
- Solid project and program management capability across scope, timelines, risk, and cross-functional dependencies.
- A process improvement mindset with strength in digitization and operational efficiency.
- Good commercial judgment, including budget control, ROI thinking, and vendor cost management.
- Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder influence and a business-first mindset.
- Experience handling full-cycle e-commerce or omnichannel transformation programs.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methods and product-oriented working practices.
- Experience working with global SaaS providers and Indian system integrators.
- Awareness of data, analytics, personalization, and automation use cases.
