Job description
Role Overview
Join St Patrick's College's Grounds & Utility team in a full-time contract position based at the Croagh Patrick Campus in Prospect, Tasmania. This hands-on role involves maintaining the school's grounds and facilities to ensure a safe, orderly, and well-presented environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular grounds maintenance including turf and horticultural care.
- Oversee and conduct general building maintenance tasks.
- Prepare and set up facilities for school events and functions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of outdoor areas such as pathways and hard surfaces.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs throughout the year.
- Contribute to the daily operational needs of the Croagh Patrick Campus site.
Candidate Profile
- Practical, motivated individual with experience in groundskeeping, turf management, horticulture, or general maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Effective communication and professional relationship-building with the school community, including students, staff, and parents.
- Punctual, reliable, proactive, and willing to work physically outdoors in a hands-on role.
- Organizational skills to prioritize and manage competing demands efficiently and meet deadlines.
