Description de l'emploi
About the organisation
Perth Airport is a major gateway for Western Australia, linking people, businesses and communities across the state with destinations throughout Australia and the world. The airport operates around the clock, every day of the year, and plays an important role in supporting economic, social and cultural outcomes for West Australians.
The organisation is also in the middle of a large transformation program worth $5 billion, including new and expanded terminals, a parallel runway, multi-storey parking facilities and its first on-site hotel. The goal is to create a unified airport precinct and deliver an improved passenger experience.
Outside of aviation, the airport estate covers more than 2,100 hectares and includes a $1.5 billion mix of industrial and commercial assets, with strong potential for future growth.
About the role
This role is for multiple Ground Transport Officers who will work across the airport’s car parks and the forecourt area outside the terminals. The position follows a rotating roster, with alternating day and night shifts.

- Carry out patrols and regular checks across roadways, forecourts and airport facilities.
- Spot hazards, defects or suspicious behaviour and take action to help keep the area safe.
- Keep clear and accurate records connected to safety, training and customer interactions.
About you
You should be confident, approachable and comfortable engaging positively with a wide range of people. The role requires someone who can stay composed in difficult situations and communicate clearly and with empathy.
Requirements
- A solid background and genuine interest in customer service.
- Previous experience working outdoors, with the ability to handle 12-hour shifts on a roster of 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days off.
- Strong listening skills, clear communication and a compassionate approach.
- The ability to remain calm and steady when dealing with challenging situations.
- A current full driver’s licence.
- Desirable: qualifications or experience in traffic management and traffic control, plus a first aid certificate and white card. Training will be provided.
Working environment and benefits
Perth Airport offers a collaborative, inclusive environment where team members are supported to do their best work. The organisation is focused on long-term projects that have a meaningful impact on Western Australia.

- A work-life balance focused approach.
