Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Jammu & Kashmir is for a Government e-Marketplace (GEM) Specialist tasked with managing the company’s presence on the GEM portal. The role involves product listings, catalog updates, ensuring adherence to GEM guidelines, and monitoring government tenders and bids. Responsibilities also include preparing quotations, tracking orders, coordinating internally for pricing and inventory, addressing contract execution and payment follow-ups, and directly communicating with government buyers to resolve technical or commercial inquiries. The specialist also maintains detailed documentation and reports on GEM activities, analyzes platform data to uncover new business prospects, and supports process enhancement in public sector sales.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of government relations and public sector procurement, with hands-on experience on GEM or similar platforms.
• Understanding of local government processes and regulatory compliance related to tenders and public purchasing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with government officials and internal teams.
• Proficient analytical capabilities to interpret tender documents, evaluate requirements, and prepare competitive bids.
• Relevant background in sales, tender management, or government procurement, ideally in security, surveillance, or IT/networking sectors.
• Accuracy in managing documentation, compliance, and deadlines within a dynamic work atmosphere.
• Competence with office software and online tools such as MS Office, spreadsheets, email platforms, and web portals; experience with the GEM interface is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, commerce, public administration, or a related discipline.
