GM Advisor

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for offering expert advisory services to shape the primary objectives within public administration. It includes monitoring associated activities, projects, and initiatives, while ensuring robust frameworks and metrics are in place to evaluate goal achievement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee enhancement and assessment of public administration services, pinpointing growth opportunities and improving service delivery methods.
• Contribute to formulating internal affairs work plans that align with the Authority's strategic direction.
• Create operational plans for planning and development, ensuring consistency with internal affairs business and strategic plans.
• Provide strategic recommendations to explore expansion possibilities for businesses and services and boost beneficiary satisfaction.
• Implement plans and supply necessary resources to meet planning and development targets supporting the Authority's broader strategic goals.
• Evaluate reports, identify obstacles, and advise on significant upcoming issues and initiatives.
• Discuss planning and development budget needs with senior management and contribute insights for budgeting procedures.
• Ensure the effective utilization of budgets, delivering accurate progress and challenge reports.
• Validate initiatives and recommend those yielding positive financial outcomes, mitigating risks related to finance and operations.
• Adhere strictly to all applicable Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in work activities.
• Assist in resolving escalated issues, providing support to less experienced teams to promote efficiency.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate authorities to guarantee proper resolution and undertake other tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field is required.
• Preferably holds an MBA, Executive Management degree, or equivalent.
• Certifications such as CPA, SOCPA, CTA, CFA, or ATT are advantageous.

Experience and Competencies

• Preferred experience: At least 8 years in a relevant field, minimum 6 years required.
• Competencies required: Proficient collaboration and communication skills, customer focus, ability to enable change and innovation, professionalism, and a results-driven mindset.
