Position Overview
This is a fully remote, long-term contract role with a leading natural gas utility provider, offering potential for permanent employment. The GIS Analyst will utilize ESRI, ArcPro, and As-Built documentation to support vital mapping projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Use ESRI and ArcPro software to maintain and update geographic mapping data.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in GIS datasets with strong problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure accuracy and organization in managing geospatial information.
- Work effectively with team members and communicate clearly within the project scope.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience working with GIS, specifically with ESRI, ArcPro, and As-Builts.
- Strong analytical aptitude for detecting and correcting data inconsistencies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication abilities and a collaborative work style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in natural gas or utility sector projects.
- Knowledge of pipeline material validation procedures.
- Experience with data verification and correction activities.
Work Schedule and Location
- Fully remote position.
- Standard 8-hour workdays, Monday through Friday.
- Core business hours aligned with Central Standard Time (CST).
