About the Company

Everlast Gyms is preparing to launch a brand-new fitness club in Livingston, Scotland in Autumn 2026. This unique opportunity allows you to be the inaugural General Manager, overseeing the club right from its inception. You will play a pivotal role in assembling the team, establishing operational standards, and crafting a remarkable member experience from day one.

Role Overview

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the club, leading across sales, customer service, and facility management. Your leadership will set the standard for excellence, driving multiple revenue streams while ensuring that every member visit is outstanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop a motivated high-performing team, providing consistent constructive feedback to optimize their performance.
• Drive membership sales growth, increase secondary spending, and maximize all revenue channels to ensure strong profitability.
• Lead by example on the gym floor and at reception to deliver a personalized and elevated member experience.
• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes flawlessly and consistently.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards throughout the club at all times.
• Promote team engagement and motivation by fostering buy-in to national marketing campaigns and company initiatives.
• Approach challenges with resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles effectively.
• Ensure full compliance with all company policies and safety procedures, including Health & Safety and pool plant operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least one year of management experience within the fitness sector.
• Strong leadership capabilities with adaptable communication and management styles tailored to different situations.
• A member-centric approach combined with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Commercially aware with a strong drive to achieve measurable results.
• Resilient attitude and positive, solution-focused mindset.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• A genuine passion for health, fitness, and overall wellbeing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a Level 2 Fitness Qualification is advantageous.
