Role Overview

We seek passionate History educators to deliver engaging lessons via live virtual classrooms to students from Years 9 to 12. This role involves teaching Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2 and 3 curricula. The position is fully remote within New Zealand, allowing you to work from any location while fostering a nurturing and connected learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct live, stimulating online History lessons that engage students
• Create customized learning pathways to meet individual student needs
• Establish trust-based relationships with students in a digital setting
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of innovative educators
• Utilize differentiated instruction to support varied student progress
• Deliver formative and summative assessments with constructive feedback, aligning evaluations with curriculum objectives
• Contribute actively to the curriculum team's development and effectiveness
• Work collaboratively with parents and caregivers, providing regular communication to enhance student learning

Qualifications and Experience

• Must hold New Zealand Teaching Registration
• Possess a relevant teaching qualification and strong subject matter expertise in History
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of the NCEA curriculum, especially Levels 2 and 3
• Exhibit strong communication abilities and proficiency with digital technologies
• Preferred experience includes IGCSE teaching, online or blended education, and familiarity with educational technology and AI tools
