Main Duties

• Accurately pick and assemble customer orders from various temperature zones to ensure timely delivery.
• Carefully pack orders by verifying product choices, quantities, and item codes to maintain order accuracy.
• Select fresh, quality products, discard damaged goods, and complete all necessary documentation such as pick slips and shipping labels with accuracy.
• Pack totes efficiently to optimize space usage while ensuring product safety and quality.
• Balance task completion with positive customer interactions, offering assistance and resolving concerns when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workspace by following food safety guidelines, cleaning spills promptly, and ensuring totes are clean prior to use.
• Safely operate equipment and perform mandatory safety inspections consistently.
• Adapt to varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, contributing to smooth store operations and excellent service delivery.

Challenges in the Role

• Handle high workload volumes in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, managing energy and focus efficiently.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs., with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Repeatedly undertake stocking, zoning, and organization duties with diligence to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly pay rate for this role is $16.90 CAD.
