Job Overview
Jovie is looking to hire compassionate and experienced full-time and part-time nannies to provide in-home care for infants and toddlers in Newcastle, WA and the surrounding Seattle area. This role offers rewarding work with local families, consistent daytime hours, supportive management, and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Offer safe, nurturing, and attentive care to infants and toddlers
- Support children’s feeding schedules, nap times, and daily routines
- Foster learning and development through reading, playtime, and age-appropriate activities
- Maintain effective communication with parents about their child's daily activities and progress
- Create a positive and encouraging environment conducive to child growth and learning
Working Hours
- Availability primarily Monday through Friday is preferred
- The majority of shifts take place between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Typical shifts last between 6 to 9 hours
- Assignments are with vetted local families
Candidate Requirements
- At least one year of experience caring for infants
- Genuine passion for working with infants and toddlers
- Dependability and professionalism in childcare settings
- Strong communication skills to interact with children and parents effectively
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- References including a minimum of two childcare-related and one character reference
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Experience gained from various childcare roles such as nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, or church nursery settings are all welcomed
