Role overview
Travel And Tour World is looking for an experienced freelance reporter to cover the Wit Queenstown event in Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand. This is a one-day, on-site assignment focused on capturing event highlights for a global audience.
What the assignment involves
In this role, you will attend the event in person and gather timely, engaging coverage. The work centers on interviews, fast-turnaround reporting, and professional networking on behalf of the publication.
Key duties
- Speak with guest speakers and subject experts through short video and audio interviews.
- Be present for seminars and press talks, then turn what you learn into concise news updates.
- Connect with industry professionals and collect contact details for TTW.
Skills and background needed
Applicants should have a foundation in journalism, news writing, or professional interviewing. Strong written and spoken English is important, and you should be comfortable working with basic recording equipment such as a camera, microphone, and tripod for digital content and social updates.
Event details
