About the Role
We seek a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our newly opened Castle Lodge Care Home in Mere, part of the Country Court family. This care home specializes in providing residential and specialist dementia care, offering a secure, peaceful, and enriching environment for residents with diverse needs. The position is part-time with work schedules of 30 to 40 hours weekly, including weekend shifts on a rotating basis from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Distribute meals, snacks, and beverages to residents efficiently.
- Maintain and restock snack stations regularly.
- Clean dining areas promptly post meals to maintain hygiene.
- Set and re-lay tables including tablecloths as necessary.
- Keep dining and kitchen spaces tidy and organized.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses proactive, passionate, and ambitious traits aimed at enhancing resident-centered care.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service capabilities.
- Has relevant experience in food & beverage roles or similar capacities within the food service industry.
- Is knowledgeable of COSHH guidelines and adheres to health and safety standards.
- Exhibits a friendly, caring demeanor and can engage effectively with residents and their families.
- Understands the needs of individuals living with dementia.
- Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
