About the Role
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) plays a pivotal role in developing Singapore as a premier air hub and advancing its aviation sector. By fostering aviation opportunities, CAAS connects Singapore to the global community and creates meaningful choices for individuals.
Job Responsibilities
- Granting approvals and conducting safety oversight on Singapore flight crew, their training organisations, and flight simulation training devices.
- Evaluating safety management systems of Aviation Training Organisations engaging in aircraft operations.
- Ensuring examination, training, and licensing standards conform to ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices while aligning with international best practices.
- Formulating licensing and training standards and policies that meet the evolving needs of the aviation industry.
- Encouraging the cultivation of a robust and positive safety culture among flight crew and Aviation Training Organisations.
- Leading investigations into incidents and accidents involving flight crew.
You will also have opportunities to collaborate with international partners and aviation safety experts, extending your impact beyond Singapore.
Candidate Profile
- Holds an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with Flying Instructor Rating; flight examiner authorisation is preferred.
- Accumulated a minimum of 500 flight instruction hours on civil transport or equivalent military aircraft.
- Experience in civil aviation management, operations, regulatory roles, or pilot training is advantageous.
- Displays a strong commitment and drive to enhance aviation safety.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills along with interpersonal abilities.
Terms and Conditions
Your appointment and designation will be aligned with your relevant experience. The initial offer is a three-year contract, with potential consideration for permanent tenure or contract renewal thereafter.
