Role Summary
This full-time, permanent position offers guaranteed 40-hour work weeks, involving fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal components and machinery. The fitter welder will engage with a variety of practical projects requiring hands-on expertise.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to inform fabrication and assembly processes.
- Execute welding tasks using MIG, TIG, arc welding, and other appropriate techniques.
- Precisely fit and align metal parts to ensure quality assembly.
- Fabricate and alter metal components as project needs dictate.
- Maintain and repair equipment and machinery to preserve operational efficiency.
- Uphold quality control standards and comply with safety protocols at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- At least two years’ experience working as a fitter/welder.
- Comprehensive knowledge of welding methods and metal fabrication practices.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding technical plans and documentation.
- Strong focus on detail and accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Problem-solving ability and a self-motivated work ethic.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as independently.
