About the Role
A leading communications consultancy is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a long-term contract basis with flexible hybrid working arrangements. This commercial role involves close collaboration with senior management to shape the strategic direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end process, including managing timelines and preparing internal monthly management accounts.
- Coordinate and guide the creation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting on variances.
- Analyze monthly performance by comparing actual results against budgets and recommend appropriate actions.
- Drive efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives throughout the business.
- Lead and support the finance team, providing direction as needed.
- Serve as key financial advisor to the Managing Directors, assisting in delivering the company’s financial strategy.
- Conduct commercial analysis based on management information reports to support financial objectives across teams.
- Ensure client accounts are managed within agreed budgets and identify opportunities to enhance commercial outcomes.
- Leverage technology and financial systems to optimize business processes, improve customer service, and maintain robust financial controls.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the business.
Experience and Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA designation.
- Proven experience in financial management or control roles is essential.
- Strong analytical skills, including expertise in general ledger activities, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards, and compliance regulations.
- High commercial awareness and acumen.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is €90,000 to €100,000, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities.
