Position Details
The role of Finance Data Entry Assistant is based at Crosscare’s Central Offices in Dublin City Centre and involves a 9-month fixed-term contract working Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, with occasional flexibility required during peak periods. The position reports directly to the Accounts Manager and offers a salary of €30,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a large volume of supplier invoices into the financial system efficiently.
- Accurately input and validate employee expense claims.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and relevant documents when applicable.
- Ensure correct allocation of invoices to nominal accounts, cost centres, and projects.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices, including VAT treatment and necessary approvals.
- Address routine invoice queries in collaboration with suppliers and internal departments.
- Maintain precise electronic and physical financial records.
- Assist with monthly financial closing activities when required.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all financial information.
- Adhere to established financial procedures and internal controls of the charity.
- Support the broader finance team with administrative tasks as needed.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Finance Manager or Director.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in data entry or finance-related administration.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring high accuracy levels.
- Proficient keyboarding and data entry capabilities.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding and adherence to confidentiality policies and the ethical code of Crosscare.
