Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position in Panama City, FL is responsible for leading day-to-day field activity on telecommunications construction jobs. The Field Supervisor directs crew assignments, tracks work progress, and makes sure aerial, underground, and related construction tasks are performed in line with safety requirements, project plans, and applicable local rules.

The role also involves coordinating labor, equipment, and materials; checking job sites; handling operational problems as they arise; and keeping projects moving on time and within budget. In addition, the supervisor works closely with project managers, customers, and field staff, maintains accurate records and reports, and helps coach team members through training and performance feedback.

Key Duties

• Oversee day-to-day operations for telecom construction crews in the field.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have solid experience supervising field operations and construction crews, ideally in telecommunications, utilities, or related infrastructure work. Familiarity with aerial and underground construction, directional drilling, and fiber installation or splicing processes is important.

Strong knowledge of safety compliance, site inspection procedures, and relevant local, state, and company standards is expected. Candidates should also bring strong organization, planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and documentation skills.

Effective communication and leadership ability are required, along with the confidence to direct teams, share feedback, and coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders. Helpful extras include previous telecom construction experience, exposure to CATV or fiber networks, basic computer and reporting skills, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in changing conditions.

Education Requirement

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical education or certification in construction, telecommunications, or a related area is preferred.
