Role Summary

The General Studies Department is looking for a male faculty member who can contribute strongly to teaching, research, and service. The role also involves working closely with colleagues to strengthen the curriculum and support department-level initiatives.

Teaching and Academic Duties

• Deliver undergraduate psychology courses.
• Guide students in both academic progress and career development.
• Take part in departmental and university service work.
• Partner with faculty colleagues to revise and improve course offerings and curriculum design.

Research Expectations

• Conduct scholarly research that advances the discipline.
• Contribute to the department’s academic standing through publications and research output.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Proven effectiveness in university-level teaching.

Employment Terms and Benefits

• The appointment is for one year and may be renewed, depending on Dean/Director approval and student evaluations.
• The salary package will be competitive and aligned with academic qualification, rank, and teaching experience.
• Medical coverage is provided for the employee and eligible dependents living in Saudi Arabia, including spouse and up to four children under 24 years of age.
• A transport allowance is included.
• Annual leave includes round-trip tickets for up to four travelers: the employee, spouse, and two children under 18 years of age.
• Paid summer vacation lasts two months, along with two local paid holidays of about 15 days each, where applicable.
• School tuition support of up to SAR 30,000 is available for children studying within the Kingdom, subject to contract terms.
• Free furnished housing with essential utilities and maintenance may be provided if available; otherwise, a housing allowance will be offered based on academic rank.
• An end-of-service yearly gratuity starts after the second year of continuous service, provided the employee completes at least two years.

Prince Sultan University is the first private university in Saudi Arabia to receive accreditation from the NCAAA and is also the youngest institution to achieve this distinction.
