About the Role

The Operational Planning Team Leader will take charge of guiding and coordinating production and material planning activities to ensure the manufacturing process runs smoothly. This role focuses on synchronizing production schedules, material availability, factory capacity, and operational priorities for timely project completion. It also involves fostering continuous improvement and interdepartmental collaboration among Planning, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Engineering, Production, Warehouse, and Project Management teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Production and Material Planners ensuring their tasks align with operational priorities and company goals.
  • Coordinate production timetables with factory capacity, material readiness, engineering inputs, and project priorities to meet delivery targets.
  • Supervise the overall factory workload, balancing resources to prevent underutilization or overburden.
  • Maintain material availability to support production and project deadlines effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with SCM, Engineering, Production, Warehouse, and Project Management to streamline operational processes.
  • Track key performance indicators related to production adherence, material shortages, overdue orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Facilitate operational review sessions and ensure follow-up on action items addressing production delays, bottlenecks, and material-related risks.
  • Manage communication and escalation of operational risks and missed milestones as needed.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in production and material planning workflows.
  • Support ERP/SAP system accuracy regarding lead times, planning parameters, and reporting standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Business Administration, or equivalent fields.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in production planning, material planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Additional professional certifications in Planning or Operations Management will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong communication abilities and stakeholder management competency.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments, including Engineering, SCM, Production, Warehouse, and Project Management.
  • Proficiency in English for both written and verbal communication.
