We are looking for a skilled Sewing Machinist experienced in using industrial sewing machines to accurately assemble and finish furniture upholstery components. Your role is essential in ensuring that every product meets strict quality and durability standards, helping maintain our reputation for superior craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to efficiently assemble furniture upholstery and parts.
• Adhere to detailed sewing patterns and specifications to guarantee consistency and high quality.
• Inspect completed work for any defects, ensuring stitches are secure and meet quality benchmarks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to enhance safety and productivity.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Sewing Machinist, ideally within upholstery or furniture manufacturing industries.
• Strong proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines with confidence.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate well within a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage between £12.70 and £13.50. Additional benefits include access to a canteen, casual dress code, company pension scheme, free and on-site parking, and help with relocation if necessary.

Work Location

This is an on-site role based at our St Leonards facility.
