About the Role
This position involves planning production schedules for one or multiple products, ensuring a steady and sufficient supply of materials to support the production plan. The role is pivotal in meeting customer delivery deadlines within a reasonable lead time for the product lines managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales administration to confirm machine shipment commitments meeting customer delivery requirements.
- Manage and coordinate successful MRP (Material Requirements Planning) runs aligned with plan releases for specific product lines.
- Align material supply planning with production schedules and agreed sales forecasts.
- Ensure timely ordering of sufficient material quantities within lead times to support the production plan.
- Maintain close follow-up with procurement and suppliers to adhere to material delivery dates, ensuring smooth material flow to production.
- Continuously review and optimize planning parameters to improve inventory levels and turnover rates for respective product lines.
- Conduct inventory analyses to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Monitor and ensure timely completion of all work and job orders.
- Coordinate engineering change implementations minimizing obsolescence and smoothly integrating changes into production.
- Compile monthly reporting on machine completion status.
- Manage annual year-end physical inventory processes.
- Lead and supervise the production planning team to ensure effective performance and achievement of objectives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives aimed at process enhancement and productivity improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Practical experience with MRP systems, particularly SAP, with a good understanding of system operations.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferably with management experience and proven leadership skills to motivate teams.
- Experience in precision manufacturing is advantageous.
