Overview
The Executive Search Consultant is responsible for managing comprehensive end-to-end recruitment processes for senior leadership and C-suite roles across diverse industries. This role requires close collaboration with clients to grasp their strategic hiring needs, conduct extensive market intelligence and talent mapping, and identify top-tier executive candidates. The consultant will guide the entire hiring journey to successfully place high-level executives.
Key Duties
- Lead full-cycle executive search campaigns for senior roles such as Director, VP, General Manager, Managing Director, CEO, CFO, CHRO, and Board members.
- Engage in thorough client briefings to understand organizational goals, structure, leadership requirements, and cultural fit.
- Create and execute tailored search strategies for specific assignments.
- Perform detailed market mapping and competitor research to build pipelines of executive talent.
- Identify target organizations and analyze leadership trends within industries.
- Provide clients with market insights including compensation benchmarks and candidate availability.
- Source and approach passive executive candidates through professional networks, referrals, industry databases, and direct methods.
- Maintain and grow relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders.
- Conduct competency-based interviews assessing leadership skills, strategic thinking, and cultural alignment.
- Deliver comprehensive candidate assessment reports detailing experience, strengths, leadership styles, and developmental needs.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients during search engagements, advising on interview techniques, offer negotiations, and hiring decisions.
- Coordinate multiple search projects simultaneously, managing timelines, candidate interviews, offer processes, and onboarding.
- Develop new business by networking, cultivating client relationships, and supporting proposals and pitches.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, executive pay trends, and leadership movement to inform talent strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
- Minimum five years of proven experience in executive search or leadership recruitment.
- Track record of successfully placing senior leaders including C-level executives.
- Prior experience with executive search firms or professional recruiting consultancies preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in executive search methodologies and headhunting techniques.
- Strong expertise in market mapping and talent intelligence gathering.
- Excellent client and stakeholder relationship management capabilities.
- Business development and negotiation skills linked to influencing hiring outcomes.
- Ability to conduct executive interviews and prepare detailed candidate reports.
- Effective project management and presentation abilities combined with commercial acumen.
- Upholds the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Background
- Experience handling retained or exclusive executive search mandates.
- Established professional networks within Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.
- Recruitment exposure across sectors such as Financial Services, Government, Healthcare, Industrial, Construction, Technology, Energy, and Professional Services.
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter and executive databases.
