About the Role
The Executive Director of Technology Operations is charged with overseeing technology management, governance, and execution to align technology assets and processes with business goals. This senior leadership position ensures efficient, secure, and scalable delivery of technology services and infrastructure, serving as the vital link between technology strategy formulation and operational implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement operational strategies in line with corporate technology goals, converting roadmaps into concrete plans and measurable results.
- Drive excellence in areas including software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and IT service delivery while establishing governance frameworks for effective execution.
- Manage planning, execution, and successful delivery of enterprise technology projects and programs, overseeing budgets, resources, and priorities to maximize business benefit.
- Standardize operational processes and policies, applying best practices across SDLC, DevOps, ITSM, Agile, and project management, and continuously enhancing efficiency via automation.
- Supervise enterprise infrastructure, cloud systems, network, and support services to guarantee reliability, scalability, and performance, including leading business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to safeguard systems and data, manage operational risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement escalation procedures.
- Set and track KPIs and SLAs, leveraging data analytics to optimize operational effectiveness and support executive decisions, fostering continuous improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, IT, finance, HR, and business units to align operations with corporate priorities and promote technology-driven growth.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering innovation, accountability, talent development, and a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 18 years in technology operations or related IT management fields, with over 8 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven expertise managing large-scale technology organizations, driving digital transformation, and overseeing enterprise operations.
- Strong knowledge in software development operations, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance.
- Experience in multinational or high-growth tech companies is advantageous.
