About the Role

The Executive Director of Technology Operations is charged with steering the organization's technology operational management, overseeing governance, and ensuring execution aligns with overall business goals. This pivotal position bridges the gap between strategic technology planning and practical implementation, focusing on operational excellence, governance, and collaboration to support sustainable innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive technology operations strategies that align with business and technological goals.
• Translate strategic roadmaps into operational plans with measurable outcomes.
• Drive excellence in areas including software development, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, cloud operations, and IT service delivery.
• Implement governance frameworks ensuring efficient project and initiative delivery.
• Lead management of enterprise technology projects, overseeing budgets, resources, and timelines to maximize value.
• Create executive dashboards to monitor and report technology performance metrics.
• Standardize and optimize operational processes, including software development lifecycle, DevOps, ITSM, Agile, and project management practices.
• Continuously enhance operational efficiency through automation and workflow improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal control policies.
• Manage enterprise technology infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and support services to maintain high availability and performance.
• Drive effective incident and problem management, alongside business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams to protect systems, data, and applications, managing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics using analytics to guide improvements and executive decisions.
• Promote cross-departmental collaboration to align technology operations with broader business priorities, supporting transformation initiatives.
• Lead the development of high-performing teams, fostering leadership, talent growth, accountability, and innovation within the technology operations function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields; Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in technology operations or related fields, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale technology organizations and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong familiarity with software development operations, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance frameworks.
• Preferably experienced in multinational corporations or rapidly growing tech enterprises.
