EVS Project Manager

About the Role

Xanitos, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Project Manager based in Knoxville, TN. This position involves full-time onsite work with 100% travel responsibility across various accounts nationwide. The role primarily supports hospital Environmental Services departments by managing daily operations under guidance from EVS Directors. Responsibilities encompass scheduling, enforcing work standards, inventory oversight, troubleshooting, staff orientation and training, customer relations, and special project execution. The role serves as practical preparation for assuming department operational duties through hands-on management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in hiring processes including interviewing candidates.
• Manage scheduling of staff including days off, holidays, and vacations adhering to position control.
• Allocate personnel to designated work areas or projects.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and oversee material and equipment inventory.
• Ensure comprehensive employee orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
• Provide motivation and individual guidance to staff to facilitate optimal performance.
• Administer discipline following progressive guidelines and maintain related documentation.
• Prepare reports on disciplinary actions and conduct follow-up investigations as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly work environment.
• Embody and promote the company’s culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Exhibit strong leadership to meet established performance plans.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• At least 1 to 3 years supervisory experience in a service-oriented environment with significant customer interaction.
• Experience in ambulatory care, healthcare EVS, or floor care.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Must comply with healthcare COVID-19 vaccination requirements unless legally exempt.
• Successful completion of post-offer medical examination, background screening including driving record, and drug testing.
• Capable of a travel schedule consisting of 10 days on, 4 days off.
• Local residence in the Knoxville area is necessary.

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook on Windows platforms.
