Role Overview
We seek an Events & Experiences Specialist to join our Marketing Team to enhance Businessolver’s brand awareness, equity, and performance. This role requires planning, organizing, and executing diverse marketing projects and events to ensure success, creativity, and cost efficiency aligning with objectives, budgets, and timelines. The ideal individual will thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment, contribute enthusiastically, and possess strong organizational and project management skills gained through experiences with various event types such as tradeshows, corporate meetings, webinars, and community activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Revenue Marketing team by managing multiple marketing projects and programs.
- Ensure event success by meticulous planning and management to drive sales pipeline growth.
- Collaborate with senior events leadership and marketing colleagues to produce virtual and in-person company events including conferences, tradeshows, webinars, speaking engagements, and community events.
- Handle venue sourcing, contracting, and management logistics.
- Coordinate speakers’ scheduling and communication.
- Assist in promoting events internally and externally.
- Create and manage registration websites and event apps.
- Coordinate hotel accommodations and transportation arrangements.
- Monitor and manage budgets for events.
- Manage exhibitor and sponsor agreements, including execution of sponsorship benefits and post-event analysis.
- Oversee lead retrieval systems and reporting following events.
- Organize distribution of giveaways, swag, and gifts.
- Provide onsite and virtual event logistics support.
- Maintain and update the events page on the company website.
- Manage requests for new events or sponsorship opportunities.
- Research and propose speaking engagements at various forums.
- Oversee booth and exhibitor property management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in marketing events, corporate events, or tradeshows.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% of the time.
- Innovative problem solver with ability to develop efficient solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills with vendor management experience.
- Familiarity with marketing technologies including Cvent, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zoom.
- Excellent project management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams including technical staff, sales personnel, and executives.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to independently create clear plans incorporating input from stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a proactive and adaptable mindset focused on achieving results.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $42,000 to $65,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and internal alignments. This role is eligible for the company’s annual bonus incentive plan. Full-time or part-time benefit-eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package.
