Role Summary

The Equity Compensation Reporting Specialist plays a vital role within Equity Plan Solutions (EPS) by supporting clients with financial reporting related to equity compensation. This client-focused position manages production support requests from initial assessment through to execution, working closely with clients and internal teams to develop reporting solutions and enhance system functionality while maintaining strong client relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on equity compensation valuation, expense accounting, and disclosures compliant with ASC 718 and ASC 260 standards.
• Handle production support issues from intake to resolution and implementation.
• Help clients understand financial reporting processes including calculations, reconciliations, expense recognition, and disclosures.
• Interpret client reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with system capabilities.
• Track account status and proactively identify and mitigate any reporting risks.
• Maintain logs of development items, coordinating with Product and Support teams on system enhancements.
• Create documentation such as release notes and reporting updates for internal use.
• Collaborate across departments including Product, Sales, Relationship Management, and Support.
• Support sales by engaging in client demonstrations, presentations, and responses to requests for proposals.
• Research regulatory guidelines and industry trends impacting equity compensation reporting.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Two to four years' experience in financial reporting, equity compensation, or related fields.
• Familiarity with ASC 718 (stock-based compensation) and ASC 260 accounting rules.
• Knowledge of equity compensation plans like stock options, RSUs, PSUs, and ESPPs.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a dynamic setting.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to clarify complex financial topics to clients.
• Background in financial services or fintech sectors is preferable.
• CEP certification or working toward it is advantageous.

Compensation

The compensation for this role ranges from $95,000 to $104,000 annually, with final offers reflecting experience and geographic location.
