Position Summary
This role is situated within the Department of Health and Human Services at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The assigned duty location is Spokane, Washington.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of epidemiological research focused on health surveillance.
- Offer expert guidance on data science practices, including the creation of data visualization techniques and handling diverse datasets, both structured and unstructured.
- Formulate actionable recommendations that address potential and identified occupational health risks and exposures.
Qualification Requirements
- Possess at least a bachelor's or a higher-level graduate degree in a field related to medicine, health sciences, or allied sciences, accredited by a recognized U.S. Department of Education entity.
- Have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at the federal GS-13 level or equivalent, demonstrating competencies in epidemiological study leadership, consultancy in data science, and health risk management in workplace settings.
