About the role
AdventHealth is looking for an Environmental Services Attendant to help maintain a safe, sanitary, and orderly environment at its Calhoun, Georgia location. The role supports the organization’s mission of caring for the whole person and contributing to a team focused on service and healing.
Schedule and location
This is a full-time, night-shift position based at 1035 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701. The working hours are 4:00 pm to 12:30 am.
Key duties
- Keep patient rooms, operating rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and other assigned spaces clean, safe, and sanitary on a daily basis.
- Carry out routine environmental services tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making, trash removal, and linen collection.
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies correctly, while following infection prevention practices, isolation protocols, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- React quickly to overhead calls, urgent situations, and unsafe conditions, and make sure service carts and storage areas stay secure.
- Restock carts with paper goods and cleaning products, move between assigned areas as needed, and assist with departmental operations.
Skills and knowledge needed
- Comfort communicating in English.
- Ability to read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets, product labels, and reports.
- Basic math skills.
- Capacity to follow spoken and written instructions.
- Working understanding of standard environmental services practices.
- Knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures.
- Familiarity with safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Ability to operate common cleaning equipment.

Additional information
