Role overview

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage account plans that support Microsoft revenue goals and customer success outcomes.
  • Work with internal teams and external stakeholders on business planning and digital transformation initiatives that benefit both sides.
  • Coordinate the full Microsoft customer team across solution areas to deliver outcomes throughout the customer lifecycle and strengthen trust.
  • Build a deep understanding of the customer’s business and industry to uncover new opportunities and drive net-new growth.
  • Represent customer needs internally and help ensure account requests are addressed effectively.
  • Lead and align extended virtual teams across Microsoft’s solution areas to improve revenue growth and market share.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the customer’s industry, business strategy, key partners, and relevant solutions through direct engagement with their operations.

Qualifications

Required experience

  • At least 7 years of experience in an industry such as retail, manufacturing, energy, or engineering, or in related work such as consulting or technology, with a focus on digital transformation.
  • Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field plus at least 5 years of relevant industry or transformation experience.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree in business administration plus at least 4 years of relevant industry or transformation experience.
  • Equivalent experience is also acceptable.

Preferred experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field plus 10 or more years of relevant industry or transformation experience.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree in business administration plus 8 or more years of relevant industry or transformation experience.
  • 12 or more years of account management experience, or equivalent.
