Overview
Kelly Professional & Industrial is seeking proficient bilingual English/Spanish interpreters to work remotely interpreting a large volume of inbound calls. This is a part-time role requiring minimum 25 hours weekly, conducted from home within the United States. The position includes a long-term contract arrangement, paying $15 per hour, and involves 3 weeks of paid training scheduled from 5:00 AM to 12:30 PM Pacific Time.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate real-time interpretation of incoming live calls from a quiet home office.
- Interpret Spanish-English conversations for diverse industries such as healthcare, government, law enforcement, insurance, finance, and travel/hospitality.
- Handle interpretation tasks that range from simple to complex and technical dialogues.
- Participate in video interpreting sessions as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Full fluency in both Spanish and English languages.
- Capability to commit at least 25 hours per week.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for typing or note-taking during calls.
- Prior experience is not mandatory; education or work background in teaching or translation is advantageous.
- Comfortable using video conferencing and appearing on camera for interpretation.
Technical and Workspace Requirements
- Possess a personal computing device such as a laptop, desktop, or tablet for work tasks.
- Maintain a high-speed private internet connection for work-related communications.
- Have access to items such as a dry erase marker board and a paper shredder.
- Have a dedicated, quiet, and private work area within the home environment.
