Engineer Compliance & Safety Officer

Role overview

Abu Dhabi Aviation is hiring an experienced Engineer Compliance & Safety Officer to support the Engineering function. The position works closely with the Technical Compliance Manager to uphold strong maintenance and engineering standards across the fleet.

Key responsibilities

The role focuses on tracking engineering compliance and making sure maintenance work follows all relevant regulatory and safety expectations. It includes handling MLOSA activities, supporting CAPA actions and root-cause analysis, and contributing to risk assessments and Management of Change (MOC) for active operations. The officer also helps prepare Airworthiness Review Certification (ARC) documentation, responds to SMS reports, offers technical support to the engineering team, and takes part in safety investigations. All maintenance work must remain aligned with company procedures and international aviation safety rules.

Education and experience

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in aviation, a graduate degree in a related discipline, or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License. A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with steadily increasing responsibility is required. The role also calls for substantial rotary-wing aircraft experience, approved auditor status, and strong familiarity with GCAA, EASA, and FAA requirements.

Skills and competencies

This position requires advanced use of MS Office and aviation systems such as RUSADA, along with strong English ability at ELP level 5 or above. The ideal candidate should demonstrate clear communication, strong problem-solving ability, technical depth, excellent attention to detail, solid organization, and the flexibility to stay on call and respond to urgent technical matters when needed.
