Electronics Technician

Overview

Join Babcock International Group as an Electronics Technician based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, with travel to additional sites. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £38,246 plus benefits. This position provides a unique opportunity to leverage your hands-on electronics expertise by mentoring and assessing apprentices within the British Army, even if you have no previous training experience, as development will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and assess apprentice progress aligned with client expectations.
• Coach and motivate learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.
• Ensure all activities comply with industry standards and regulatory bodies such as ESFA and Ofsted.
• Conduct scheduled site visits and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Offer guidance to apprentices on building professional portfolios.

Working Hours and Location

This is a full-time role requiring 37 hours per week. It involves travel within Salisbury and to affiliated sites alongside options for remote work from home.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Extensive practical experience in electronics-related industrial settings.
• Qualifications including GCSE Mathematics and English (grade C or equivalent) and a Level 3 or higher certificate in Electronics or related fields.

Security Clearance

The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) and Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance, noting eligibility can be influenced by nationality and residency history.
