Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. The role involves working extensively with transformers, high tension (HT) and low tension (LT) panels, RMU, synchronization, and APFC panels. You'll be responsible for various electrical erection and installation tasks including air conditioning, camera systems, and lighting. Cable laying, glanding, and termination duties are part of the job scope. You will conduct both preventive and breakdown maintenance while also managing DG operations and power distribution systems. The role includes handling AHUs, chillers, heaters, and other utility equipment along with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis in electrical systems. The technician will also operate and maintain ACB, MCCB, VCB, relays, and protection systems and carry out essential electrical testing like insulation resistance, earth resistance, and continuity testing. Compliance with safety protocols including PTW, LOTO, and other electrical safety measures is mandatory.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
The ideal candidate should hold an ITI Electrician certificate or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. A strong foundation in electrical installation, erection, operation, fault detection, and maintenance is essential. Practical experience with various panels (HT, LT, RMU, synchronization, APFC), MCCs, PCCs, and DG systems is required. The candidate should be proficient in cable work including laying, tray installation, glanding, termination, ferruling, and panel and field wiring. Experience in motor, pump, AHU, chiller, heater, exhaust fan, and utility equipment installation and upkeep is desired. Ability to carry out different types of maintenance and routine inspections is important. Familiarity with electrical testing methods and electrical safety processes such as PTW and LOTO, along with adherence to PPE usage and safe working practices, is crucial.
