Role Overview
Join a vibrant and expanding company focused on print, promotional materials, and retail display solutions as a Distribution and Transport Manager based in Dublin. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely nationwide delivery of retail campaigns, including eye-catching point-of-sale displays and promotional merchandise, supporting critical customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all transport and distribution functions to guarantee precise and timely deliveries that meet customer expectations.
- Organize and coordinate delivery schedules across the country for printed materials, POS displays, and promotional marketing campaigns.
- Design and refine efficient transportation routes to boost service quality while controlling costs.
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to synchronize dispatch timing with client needs.
- Oversee partnerships with third-party logistics providers to maintain high service standards.
- Track and analyze operational metrics to foster continual enhancements in distribution processes.
- Ensure adherence to transport regulations, health and safety policies, and company protocols.
- Supervise dispatch activities to ensure products are prepared and loaded correctly for delivery excellence.
- Manage transport budgets and seek opportunities to increase operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Address delivery issues proactively, implementing corrective measures to sustain customer satisfaction.
- Lead and inspire transport teams, promoting a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in Distribution, Transport, or Logistics Management roles.
- Background in fast-paced sectors such as manufacturing, print, retail, or FMCG distribution.
- In-depth knowledge of transport planning, route optimization, and logistics operations.
- Proven ability to manage third-party logistics and transport providers effectively.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-team and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS), ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Understanding of transport legislation and health and safety standards.
- Experience in handling print, packaging, POS, or promotional materials logistics is advantageous but not essential.
