Role overview
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries is seeking a Director Science and Data to lead the strategic direction of fisheries scientific research, technical capability, and the management of data and information. The role is based in Darwin, Northern Territory, and sits within the Science and Data unit of the Fisheries Division.
Key purpose of the position
In this leadership role, you will provide high-level guidance and specialist advice so that scientific and operational evidence is reliable, relevant, and usable in management and regulatory decision-making. The appointment may be made at either the SAO2 or SP2 level, depending on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
