Role Summary

The Director Operations Logistics position is a part-time, fully remote role responsible for managing and enhancing the logistics and operational workflows underpinning Thrive Capital’s portfolio companies. Key duties include coordinating supply chain operations, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring smooth transit of goods and services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee supply chain activities to optimize logistics processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators for operational efficiency and service quality.
• Analyze operational data to detect improvement opportunities and implement strategic enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve logistics challenges.
• Manage vendor relationships and maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to operational initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of logistics best practices and scalable frameworks for portfolio application.

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in operations management, including strategic planning, process optimization, and performance tracking.
• Strong background in logistics and supply chain management encompassing transport, inventory, and distribution oversight.
• Advanced analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, generate insights, and support data-driven decisions.
• Dedication to high-quality customer service, with skills for managing expectations and supporting diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in private equity, consulting, or operational roles within multifaceted organizations is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a related discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management aptitude, and proficiency in remote collaboration.
• Ability to independently manage priorities within a part-time schedule and respond flexibly to evolving business demands.
