Overview
Watertronics, a recognized leader in custom-engineered water pumping systems, is looking for a seasoned Director of Operations to oversee manufacturing activities at their Hartland, Wisconsin plant. The role encompasses leading production teams in an engineer-to-order manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide all manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and financial targets.
- Develop production plans, set departmental priorities, and maximize resource efficiency across multiple functions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, and Customer Service teams to deliver products on schedule and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Lead lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement efforts to boost productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Hire, mentor, and grow supervisors and staff while promoting a culture of teamwork, responsibility, and employee engagement.
- Manage budgets, labor usage, manufacturing expenses, and oversee capital improvement projects.
- Oversee maintenance and facilities to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and quality standards, ensuring a safe and orderly work environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, business, or equivalent leadership experience.
- At least seven years of progressively responsible manufacturing leadership experience.
- Background in custom manufacturing or engineer-to-order environments.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, production planning, and operational metrics.
- Proven track record in team leadership, budget management, and driving operational excellence.
