Role Summary

The Director of Admissions will be responsible for helping the campus admissions function achieve its targets and service standards. This role involves overseeing staffing, managing lead flow, and partnering with the Marketing team on local promotional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, supervise, and encourage Admissions Representatives and other support personnel.
  • Review phone-call evaluations for each Admissions Representative every two weeks and assess interviews monthly; complete Professional Standards reviews quarterly and annual/semi-annual performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Observe interviews and listen to calls in order to coach team members and improve performance.
  • Check all recorded inbound calls within 72 hours to confirm proper lead entry and correct handling by the front desk.
  • Organize staffing schedules and shifts so inbound leads are covered throughout operating hours.
  • Monitor public reviews and mystery shops, then respond appropriately.
  • Track progress against start goals and report on performance.
  • Develop Admissions Representatives who show leadership potential for future director-level opportunities.
  • Coordinate with campus management to ensure resources are available to meet admissions goals and submit required reports, forecasts, and documents accurately and on time.
  • Work with Financial Aid to hold STITCH/GAP meetings and support strong customer service and interview-to-start performance.
  • Partner with campus executives and regional leaders to review whether admissions policies and procedures are helping the campus meet its goals.
  • Plan and run campus events such as open houses and orientations.
  • Lead daily standups and weekly team meetings to review goals, policies, procedures, and best practices while strengthening team alignment.
  • Communicate with prospective students, applicants, and other inquiries about admissions standards.
  • Contribute input on budgets, training sessions, campus facilities, and related needs.
  • Enforce the business-professional dress code for Admissions staff Monday through Friday.
  • Handle additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A strong admissions history with at least 4 years of direct enrollment management experience is required.
  • Solid knowledge of enrollment management practices is expected.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
