About the Role
KPMG Saudi Arabia is seeking seasoned professionals to join their M&A Advisory team located in Riyadh. This senior leadership position involves managing end-to-end mergers and acquisitions advisory mandates across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new deals by sourcing sell-side and buy-side mandates within KSA and UAE markets.
- Develop and deliver persuasive pitch materials, Information Memorandums, and strategic advisory presentations for executive boards and committees.
- Maintain a robust deal pipeline by monitoring market trends and collaborating closely with sector leads and partners to cultivate unique deal opportunities.
- Steer the full cycle of M&A transactions including sell-side, buy-side, divestitures, carve-outs, and joint ventures from initial mandate through to deal closure.
- Supervise the creation of high-quality transaction documentation such as Information Memoranda, management presentations, process letters, and oversee data room activities.
- Lead valuation analysis and review outputs prepared by junior team members.
- Conduct commercial negotiations and manage vendor and buyer-side processes including Q&A sessions, exclusivity agreements, and closing conditions.
- Coordinate with internal specialists in tax, legal, debt advisory, strategy, and integration to ensure transaction success.
- Serve as the senior daily client contact throughout live deals, maintaining trust and managing expectations across all transaction stages.
- Build and foster deep, multi-contact client relationships to secure repeat business and expand the firm’s presence.
- Advise strategically on deal timing, structuring, and market positioning beyond individual transactions.
- Lead and mentor a team composed of Managers, Senior Associates, and Analysts, enforcing high standards of analysis, communication, and professionalism.
- Oversee quality control of all client deliverables prior to release.
- Participate actively in recruitment, performance evaluations, and the adoption of best practices within the team.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 10 to 12 years’ experience in M&A advisory, corporate finance, or investment banking within a Big 4 firm, bulge bracket bank, distinguished boutique, or mid-market advisory environment.
- Proven success leading and closing sell-side and/or buy-side M&A deals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
- Experience managing comprehensive deal processes including data room management, buyer interactions, preparing management presentations, and negotiating sale and purchase agreements.
- Strong sector expertise in at least one of the following industries: Technology & Media, Industrials & Business Services, Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, or Energy & Infrastructure.
- Demonstrated business development capabilities supported by an established network of private equity, corporate, and intermediary contacts in the KSA and UAE markets.
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional commercial judgment and strategic insight, capable of articulating deal rationale and valuations that resonate with senior-level clients.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and engage clients effectively.
- Meticulous understanding of transaction mechanics such as SPA structuring, locked-box accounting versus completion accounts, and earn-out arrangements.
- Strong project management skills, proficient in handling multiple live deals simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Collaborative leadership style that promotes inclusiveness and contributes positively to firm culture and knowledge sharing.
- High emotional intelligence and political savvy in navigating complex transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
