Position Overview

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will serve as a strategic business partner within Mastercard's Canadian team. This role leads the region's financial planning and analysis efforts, acting as a key contributor to strategy development, financial and performance management, and data-supported decision-making frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the financial planning and reporting process, emphasizing strategic insights.
• Lead management reporting including monthly financial results, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Develop collaborative relationships within a complex matrixed organization at all levels.
• Enhance financial literacy for business and account managers, including business case modeling to support growth initiatives.
• Manage deal design, development, and negotiations to build sound business cases facilitating business expansion.
• Enhance regional and corporate financial analytics and reporting, delivering refined analytics and data-driven insights.
• Oversee the development and reporting of key performance indicators such as financial metrics, market share, merchant penetration, and category analysis.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Issuing, and Acquiring teams to meet analytics requirements.
• Work alongside Global Products & Solutions teams to advance product profitability analysis and business case development.

Candidate Profile

• Exceptional expertise in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting methodologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various finance disciplines.
• Advanced skills in computer applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Hyperion/Oracle.
• Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset.
• Confident in challenging ideas across all organizational levels, possessing an influential and authoritative presence.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities suited for matrixed organizational environments.
• Highly motivated, ambitious, and driven; international experience is beneficial.
• Experience managing teams.
• Relevant academic credentials in business, accounting, or related fields; accounting certification or MBA preferred.

Compensation and Employment Details

This role is based in Toronto, Canada, offering a competitive salary ranging from 138000 to 221000 CAD annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program. Multiple openings may be available.
