Position Overview
The Director of Brand and Communications will lead brand management and communication strategies, reporting to the Chief Experience Officer. This pivotal leadership role integrates marketing, creative production, operations, and strategic planning, managing lifecycle communication and overseeing teams responsible for partnerships, events, social media, and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive management of Alto's brand, spanning employer branding and consumer channels.
- Develop and implement internal driver engagement campaigns and 360-degree communication plans alongside operations and brand teams.
- Act as liaison among operations, recruiting, technology, and marketing departments.
- Leverage data analytics to identify and address operational challenges through brand and communication initiatives.
- Refine lifecycle communication strategies to boost engagement for drivers and customers.
- Oversee and improve loyalty programs, including the Driver Milestone and customer loyalty initiatives.
- Drive external brand campaigns to enhance customer acquisition and retention.
- Transform marketing data, market research, and cultural insights into actionable brand strategies.
- Lead and mentor the brand team responsible for rider acquisition via partnerships, events, social media, and influencer collaborations.
- Ensure Alto's brand consistency across all touchpoints, championing the company voice and identity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum eight years professional experience with at least three years in leadership roles, preferably within marketing or brand management; startup experience advantageous.
- Proven success managing end-to-end 360-degree brand campaigns.
- Experience managing CRM platforms, with bonus for familiarity with Braze.
- Proficiency in using data to design lifecycle automations and segmentation.
- Strong leadership skills with a history of developing creative teams.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, including budget ownership and system scalability.
- Proactive mindset with rapid testing, iteration, and process refinement experience.
- Effective communicator skilled in cross-functional collaboration and alignment across markets.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across diverse teams and markets.
