Overview

The Digital Merchandiser plays a vital role in enhancing the online presence of the Royal Canin and Eukanuba brands across multiple ecommerce retailer platforms. This position involves driving engaging shopper experiences and managing product content to optimize brand visibility and sales impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete process of new product set up, including catalog maintenance, product renovation, and discontinuations.
  • Lead initiatives to improve Perfect Digital Store (PDS) metrics across retail pages by optimizing images, enhanced content, search keywords, videos, and customer ratings and reviews using platforms such as Salsify, CIQ, and Power BI.
  • Develop strategies aimed at winning retail algorithms through SEO-optimized content in collaboration with brand teams, marketing, sales, agencies, and retailers.
  • Collaborate with Central Content & Marketing teams to ensure timely launch and update of products on retailer websites, including new claims and product transitions.
  • Implement test and learn programs to continuously improve merchandising tactics.
  • Analyze competitive content, search, and merchandising tactics to identify insights and growth opportunities.
  • Recommend keyword strategy improvements and maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices.
  • Serve as a strategic digital thought leader during key customer meetings, delivering insights on trends and growth opportunities.
  • Lead digital education initiatives for internal teams and retail partners to enhance digital proficiency and the use of omnichannel tools.
  • Manage special digital projects such as Mobile Images, Content Playbooks, and Ratings & Reviews to strengthen brand and portfolio digital engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in digital commerce or digital merchandising, preferably managing online brand portfolios.
  • Strong comprehension of the ecommerce environment and ability to benchmark best practices related to search, placement, content, and customer ratings/reviews.

  • Preferred experience in customer experience management.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
