About the Role
This opportunity is on behalf of a partner company seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer located in Germany. Join a dynamic engineering team dedicated to building and managing scalable infrastructures supporting large digital platforms. You will collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance software delivery processes, driving modern DevOps practices organization-wide. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement contemporary DevOps methodologies to foster collaboration between development, QA, and operations teams.
- Deploy, administer, and tune Kubernetes clusters both in cloud-based and on-premises settings, ensuring they are scalable and resilient.
- Develop, maintain, and continually upgrade CI/CD pipelines to support dependable and efficient software deployment.
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) practices.
- Improve platform visibility by deploying monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization tools.
- Manage Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring its security, availability, and outstanding operational standards.
- Work jointly with engineering teams to diagnose production issues, streamline deployment processes, and enhance infrastructure stability.
- Participate in evolving the cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and overall platform performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role focusing on infrastructure automation.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Configuration as Code, preferably using Ansible.
- Demonstrable experience implementing Infrastructure as Code in cloud platforms, with emphasis on AWS and Terraform.
- Strong skills in designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and the ELK Stack.
- Advanced Linux system administration expertise alongside thorough knowledge of networking concepts including routing, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Go, Python, or Groovy.
- Experience administering Kubernetes environments, familiarity with on-premises Kubernetes distributions like Rancher is advantageous.
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere environments is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, effective communication skills, and a team-oriented approach working in Agile teams.
