DevOps Architect

Role overview

This opportunity is for a seasoned DevOps Architect to help design and mature large-scale DevOps environments. The position focuses on automation, secure engineering, and cloud transformation for an enterprise setting.

Core responsibilities

• Shape enterprise DevOps strategy, architectural direction, and governance standards.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.
• Build and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, and Ansible.
• Support cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises platform engineering initiatives.
• Embed DevSecOps practices, security automation, and compliance controls into delivery workflows.
• Drive observability, monitoring, and SRE-oriented operational practices.
• Contribute to platform modernization and cloud migration programs.
• Assess new technologies, run proofs of concept, and promote DevOps innovation.

Required background

• Proven depth in Azure cloud and DevOps architecture.
• Strong working knowledge of CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, and container platforms.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, and DevSecOps methods.
• Ability to establish enterprise standards, governance models, and best practices.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and participating in architecture reviews.

Preferred certifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, or AZ-400.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• GitHub Actions Certification.
• ITIL Foundation.

Additional information

This role is based in Doha, Qatar and follows a contract, onsite working arrangement.
