Role Overview
The Derivatives team manages lifecycle events (such as fixing) and ensures smooth settlement of Structured Notes and OTC Equity Derivatives globally for wealth management clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations involving derivatives products across all markets.
- Address and resolve exceptions in routine processes, escalating issues when necessary.
- Evaluate new business initiatives for support feasibility based on current capabilities or need for system upgrades.
- Lead projects or ad hoc assignments spurred by business demands, including system or SWIFT upgrades.
- Provide assistance to supervisors or managers as required.
- Ensure completion of daily tasks and reporting at day-end.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly MIS reports, including key risk indicators and trade volume analyses.
- Continuously review and enhance processes to boost efficiency and control measures.
- Participate actively in rolling out system enhancements and new product initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Deep understanding of Equity, Bonds, Derivatives, and Structured financial instruments.
- Experience with lifecycle event processing for OTC derivatives and structured notes.
- Knowledge of term sheets and processing various redemptions including coupons, cash, and shares.
- Preferably experienced in Wealth Management.
- Familiarity with Avaloq system is beneficial.
- Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Basic automation capabilities or familiarity with AI tools is advantageous.
- Experience with process efficiency tools such as Alteryx, Excel Macros, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
