Role Summary

The Deputy Manager / Manager Production will oversee the entire technical textile manufacturing process focusing on polyester tire cord fabric. This leadership position demands hands-on expertise spanning spinning, twisting, weaving, and dipping operations to consistently achieve high-volume production targets while upholding rigorous safety, quality, and cost standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full production cycle of tire cord manufacturing, including:
  • Spinning operations involving high-tenacity yarn extrusion and drawing.
  • Twisting activities encompassing cabling and twisting to precise cord specifications.
  • Weaving processes using air-jet or specialized looms for tire cord fabric.
  • Dipping applications employing RFL adhesive coating and heat-setting.
• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to fulfill targets punctually.
• Enhance operational efficiency by maximizing machine use, optimizing workflows, and removing bottlenecks.
• Collaborate closely with Planning and Production Control (PPC), Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Enforce strict quality controls concerning physical properties, adhesion, GSM, width, and shrinkage of products.
• Reduce defects, including yarn rejections, dipping scraps, waste, and customer complaints.
• Control utilities effectively, optimizing chemical, polymer, steam, water, and electricity usage.
• Lead, train, and motivate shift in-charges, supervisors, and operators on the shop floor.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and machine shutdowns to minimize downtime.

Candidate Profile

• A robust background in technical textiles or tire cord fabric manufacturing is essential.
• Hands-on experience with industrial yarn spinning, twisting machines, tire cord looms, and dipping lines is mandatory.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing large, structured production teams.

Preferred Profile

Ideal candidates will have experience serving as Plant Operations Head or Plant Manager within the technical textile industry.

Eligibility

Applicants should possess a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Textile Engineering.
